decided they had to go. “Please stay !” we all pleaded, some more than others.  But even the begging didn’t help this time.  “We will return, but right now there are things we must do,” they all said together.  “See you in that place,” said Sam to Father, “when the night ends.”

Off they went into the night.  All we could hear was the ticking of Taylor’s pocket watch, and the buzzing of Sam’s wings.

Then, as soon as they were out of sight,could hear nothing. We all sat quietly for a while, maybe in disbelief of what had happened throughout the course of this amazing day. As for me, I felt great.  I had just made three great new friends.

“Come, now, little Boo Boo, it is long past your bedtime,” Mother said quietly to me.  “Say good night to everyone,” she continued.
