OUR STORY
But these were Clause’s beliefs from a young age, he respected all life, big and small alike. One day, on one expedition, things changed for Claude. He had always used his magnifying glass to study the Bug'z up close, so he could write down details of what he found.
On one extremely tropical adventure, Claude and my father had captured a new specie of Bug and were preparing to photograph them.
Then Claude turned away for one moment, and in that moment the extreme heat from the sunlight coming through the magnifying glass burned the insect's wings, leaving it unable to fly again. This devastated Claude, for he had never hurt any of his specimens in the past. My father was able to photograph the Bug, but the wings had been damaged, and the proof that Claude so needed was gone. You see,this was a one-in-a-lifetime find.
